1. What similarities or differences are related to the types of solitude? What circumstances produce them?
2. What varieties of love occur in the novel? Does any kind of love transcend or transform the ravages of everyday life, politics and war, history, and time itself?
3. Is the sixth-generation incest of Aureliano Babilonia and Amaranta Ursula inevitable? What foreshadows the end?
