Add to #6: "Cross" on p49-Q1, and TPS-FAST-use language from your glossary to describe figurative language and theme.
"One Art" on p52-53, Q1,3 (R,R,R)-trace patterns, identify -villanelle

HW Final part of #: an original poem
LAST part of #6: Assignment: write an original poem.  Incorporate multiple words with different connotative and/or denotative meanings.  Minimum two stanzas, identifiable rhyme scheme, each line should be approximately the same amount of syllables, employ imagery....  Credit for completion

Imagery in poetry: Hayden poem "Those Winter Sundays"
-reveal pattern, answer Q2

Read pages 67-87 and take notes on figurative language: simile, metaphor, apostrophe, and metonymy

Choose a poem on p66, either 1, 9, or 11.  TPS-FAST.   Explain it to a neighbor.  Share out.

HW Make sure your journals are ready to go for FRIDAY, please.  Read, The School for Scandal "A Portrait" and "Prologue"
-annotate the poems for everything/anything
-paraphrase: what is the rhyme scheme, tone, puns, etc?
